Undergraduate R'Magazine
RE:/Magazines Mission
Every semester, UCR students walk out of our writing classes with essays, photos, and ideas worth more than a grade, so we decided to give them somewhere real to go.
Through the Rewrite Rebuild magazine initiative, students design, write, and publish their own campus magazines, on whatever they're genuinely curious about, from pre-med life to local ecology to what it actually means to live at UCR. The magazines are entirely student-led: students choose the topic, build the editorial team, and make the creative decisions. Along the way, a faculty mentor walks with each team from a first rough idea to a finished, published issue, and students get access to the writing space, resources, and support it takes to pull that off. It's a real publication, with your name on it, that you can point to for the rest of your life.
